Kirgizië
Kirgizië is een geheel door land omgeven, bergachtig, overwegend islamitisch land in Centraal-Azië. Turkmenistan is een door land omgeven land grenzend aan de Kaspische Zee met Ashgabat als hoofdstad. Turkmenistan is alom bekritiseerd vanwege mensenrechten en niet zo vrije verkiezingen. Het heeft een afwisselend landschap met droge woestijnen en bergen. Een toeristische attractie is de Darvaza-gaskrater, die al tientallen jaren brandt.
