The tropical rainforests and majesty of Iguazu Falls, with hiking and mountain biking opportunities give way to the crystal clear waters of Bonito, with it's excellent snorkelling. The wildlife rich Pantanal, the largest wetland in the world, is a photographer's dream, with options to experience it on horseback, by boat, on foot, or from the comfort of a hammock!

From the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, allegedly serving the best steaks in the world and some excellent red wines to accompany it, to the vibrancy of Rio, this South America overland adventure packs a lot into eighteen days! The tropical rainforests and majesty of Iguazu Falls, with hiking and mountain biking opportunities give way to the crystal clear waters of Bonito, with it's excellent snorkelling. The wildlife rich Pantanal, the largest wetland in the world, is a photographer's dream, with options to experience it on horseback, by boat, on foot, or from the comfort of a hammock! The unspoilt village of Parati gives us some relaxing turquoise-sea respite before we soak up the vivacity of Rio!

Please note that the accommodation on this trip is predominantly camping, though there may be opportunities to upgrade this locally where rooms are available. Please see the trip inclusions for an approximate percentage of camping and room nights.

Note: From 2026 the route will be extended to 27 days and will include time travelling through both Uruguay and Paraguay as part of the set itinerary.
